Hope and Prayers card...

Hello!  Today's card uses some of the same colors I used on a post last week.  I wanted to encourage a friend and just had to make one more with this color scheme.  Here's the card:
I love the lace together with that Magnolia Doohicky diecut tag.  I used a stamp from the Prayer set, flourishes from the Fruitful Flourishes stamp set,  and one of the inspired stampers' favorite collection #1 of Scripture for this card---have I told you we're going to be looking for the next set of  favorite scriptures from YOU soon?  Be thinking of your favorite Scriptures that I have not made into a stamp yet and your favorite might be chosen for our upcoming inspired stampers favorite scripture #2 set. Be sure to come back very very soon (hint hint) to have the opportunity to enter and win a free copy of this set when the contest is announced!

Until then,
Be the blessing,

BG Birthday Card

Hello and thanks so much for stopping by to visit!  As you can see I'm having too much fun with my camera, so you get the fun shot above for a peek into today's card!

I used mostly Blue Greens for this card, even coloring the flower petals and inner bead with my Copics to get a unified look.  Here is the finished Card:
I airbrushed BG02 and YG30 around Mark to get a warmer background than the stark white paper.   The flowers are Prima and Recollections, paper is Xpress It blending card (my favorite to color Copics on), 7gypsies papers and stamps are from the inspired stamp store:  Mark's Present and 1" Circle Sentiments (which you can see don't require a circle :o) and CTMH sparkles.    Here are the Copic markers I used (I forgot to put the E30 E31 and E33 in the tub):
The colorless blender I used to give texture to the present.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I'll be back soon...
until then,
Be the Blessing,

Lace, and doilies, and flowers...oh my! (Giveaway)

Hello friends!  Be sure to sign up for the GIVEAWAY shown below by clicking  HERE:
I got a few fun items in the mail yesterday!  One was a die that cuts out the spiral to make a flower like this fast (the leaves are a made from a leaf punch, then a stylus was used to make the veins.  I sanded and inked them after that):
AND
I got the greatest tag die ever from Magnolia's Doohicky line!  Here's what one looks like after inking, distressing,  and stamping:
I used my Copic inks to color the flowerpot, Ranger Distressing inks to ink the tags and doilies and images, ribbon from my stash (either Archivers or Sharon's Crop Studio (our local Scrapbook store)) Tim Holz papers, my sewing machine,  and the stamps are inspired stamps (the flowerpot is a stamp off of the COMFORT set and the phrase is off of the EYE IS ON THE SPARROW.  I also used flourishes as background for these from the FRUITFUL FLOURISHES set.

Here is the completed 6x6 shabby-chic card:
Thanks so much for taking time out of your day to spend here with me!
I have some Easter Cards to share with you next time!
Until then, Be the Blessing!

Giveaway plus...patterned paper sparrow!

Have you entered to win this prize yet?  If not, click HERE

My husband had a friend of his suddenly go to the hospital last week and asked me to make him a card...quickly!  So I grabbed a couple of the inspired stamps (Eye on the Sparrow and Perfect Sentiments) and some CTMH paper, and here is what I came up with:
I didn't have time to color my birdie with Copics, so I grabbed some coordinated paper and stamped directly on it and cut him out.  Here he is put on the card:
Thanks so much for stopping by!
I have a GORGEOUS new tag die I just got in the mail today that I am using to make a very cute 'shabby chic' card I think many of you will love!  I'll try to get it posted tomorrow but by Friday for sure!
Have a beautiful day,

Comfort Card

Hello!  This Scripture is PERFECT for those who need comforting due to loss or painful times!!  I used one of my favorite dies that Spellbinders makes called Eyelet Circles.   Ready to see the whole card?:
I kept this one fairly simple that could be sent to a woman or a man, because that sentiment is what I really hoped would pop out at the recipient!  The papers are all CTMH, and the stampsets are from the inspired stamps store:  E3014 is COMFORT ($13.99) and the stitching stamp is from BIND AND STITCH E3005 ($13.99).

I have more cards coming soon, and I believe there is a GIVEAWAY in the works!!

Be Still...

Only 7 days til Spring!!  I can't wait to see the flowers start blooming!  I created 4 cards for a card class focusing on Comfort & Loss I am teaching in a couple of weeks today.  Today is the first day I've been able to create anything in the week that the pinched nerve in my back has been so painful, so I have been VERY thankful today for God's mercy and healing hand over me!!  Thank you all for your well-wishes and prayers, too!!

Here is the full photo of the card:
I used CTMH paper/ribbon, some roses I found in the floral section of Jo-Anns, and the stampset was sold out so quickly in our online store, we were blown away at your response to it!!  A new shipment of this stampset is stocked now, so if you love it, grab it---$13.99 Be Still Silhouettes

I'll have more up for you soon and I believe a new GIVE-A-WAY will be coming shortly,
Thanks for stopping by!

Flowered topiary with storage plus TUTORIAL!

Hello bloggers!  I've had quite a week and a pulled back muscle with a pinched nerve has kept me floor-bound much of the past few days (doctor says I'll be feeling better by the weekend, God willing!).  BUT before it got really bad, I had time to finish this project I've wanted to do every since I created the Flowers stampset shown here:
Here is the finished project storing my sponge daubers!:
I used the flower stampset with the sunflower looking stamp and colored a bunch of flowers with Copic markers and cut them out.  Then I got some stick pins:
I used a styrofoam ball and cut off the bottom so it would sit flat.  I pinned all of my flowers into it, overlapping just a little so it looks more 'full':
You can put more pins through in the spaces between flowers to help hold the petals down.  Then I set it onto some green cardstock and freehanded some petals:
cut them out:

Then used my Copic marker to 'flick' some marks to make them look more like leaves.  You could choose a darker color and add more depth, if you want to:
Next, I curled the leaves over my fingers to get more of a realistic curve...just keep going until you like the outcome:
I put a pen on this for my stem, but have wrapped all kinds of things in floral tape to make a stem.  I wanted the opportunity to USE this later LOL.

Finally, I put some black beans into a terracotta pot, and put my sponge daubers in on top....now I will know where to find them when I need them, and the storage is cute out in the open :o)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I'll be back soon with some more fun for you!
